High-Precision 3, 4, & 5-Axis CNC Machining Services

Delivering complex, high-tolerance components with unmatched speed and quality for mission-critical applications in the automotive, medical, and aerospace industries.

What is 3-5 Axis CNC Machining?

Multi-axis CNC machining allows for the creation of parts with complex geometries in a single setup, drastically improving accuracy, efficiency, and design freedom. We harness this technology to turn your most ambitious designs into reality.

3-Axis Machining

3-axis machining involves the cutting tool moving along the X, Y, and Z linear axes. It is highly effective for parts with simpler geometries, such as brackets, housings, and plates, offering a cost-effective solution for rapid production.

4-Axis Machining

By introducing a rotational A-axis, 4-axis machining enables cutting and drilling on the sides of a workpiece without manual repositioning. This is ideal for cylindrical parts, cams, and angled features, reducing setup time and improving accuracy.

5-Axis Machining

The pinnacle of precision. 5-axis machining utilizes two additional rotational axes, allowing the tool to approach the workpiece from any direction. This capability is essential for creating highly complex and organic shapes with unparalleled surface finishes in a single setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

We combine decades of experience with cutting-edge technology and an unwavering commitment to quality to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
  • Q What are your standard tolerances for CNC machining?

    A
Our standard tolerance is ±0.1mm (±0.004"). However, we can achieve much tighter tolerances, up to ±0.005mm (±0.0002"), for critical features. Please specify any tight tolerance requirements on your drawings when submitting for a quote.

  • Q How quickly can I get my parts?

    A
Our lead times are project-dependent, based on part complexity, quantity, and material availability. However, we specialize in rapid turnaround and can often deliver simple prototypes in as few as 3-5 business days. We will provide a precise lead time with your official quote.

  • Q What types of files do you accept for a quote?

    A
We accept a wide range of 3D CAD files. For the fastest and most accurate quote, we recommend providing files in STEP (.stp, .step), IGES (.igs, .iges), or Parasolid (.x_t) formats. We can also work with native files from SolidWorks, and other major CAD software.

  • Q What is the main advantage of 5-axis machining over 3-axis?

A The primary advantage of 5-axis machining is its ability to create highly complex shapes in a single setup. This reduces handling and setup time, increases accuracy by eliminating the need to re-fixture the part, and allows for better surface finishes because the cutting tool can always be angled optimally relative to the part surface.
