Q What is the main difference between 6061 and 6063 aluminum alloys?
A 6063 is excellent for complex shapes and provides a great surface finish, making it ideal for architectural and decorative parts. 6061 has higher strength, making it suitable for structural applications like automotive or industrial frames.
-
Q What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A We are flexible. While larger runs are more cost-effective, we support projects from low-volume prototypes (e.g., 100kg) to mass production. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
-
Q How long does it take to create a new extrusion die?
A Typically, a new die can be developed in 1-2 weeks, depending on its complexity. We pride ourselves on rapid die development to accelerate your project timeline.
-
Q What are your standard tolerances for CNC machining?
A Our standard tolerance is ±0.1mm (±0.004"). However, we can achieve much tighter tolerances, up to ±0.005mm (±0.0002"), for critical features. Please specify any tight tolerance requirements on your drawings when submitting for a quote.
-
Q How quickly can I get my parts?
A Our lead times are project-dependent, based on part complexity, quantity, and material availability. However, we specialize in rapid turnaround and can often deliver simple prototypes in as few as 3-5 business days. We will provide a precise lead time with your official quote.
-
Q What types of files do you accept for a quote?
A We accept a wide range of 3D CAD files. For the fastest and most accurate quote, we recommend providing files in STEP (.stp, .step), IGES (.igs, .iges), or Parasolid (.x_t) formats. We can also work with native files from SolidWorks, and other major CAD software.
-
Q What is the main advantage of 5-axis machining over 3-axis?
A The primary advantage of 5-axis machining is its ability to create highly complex shapes in a single setup. This reduces handling and setup time, increases accuracy by eliminating the need to re-fixture the part, and allows for better surface finishes because the cutting tool can always be angled optimally relative to the part surface.
-
Q How do you pack the products?
A The goods will be packed by soft foam for protection and then put into a corrugated paper carton if they are in light weight, otherwise, into a wooden case.
-
Q What’s shipping ways available?
A DHL, FedEX, TNT, UPS and China air post, shipping by air or by sea are supported.
-
Q How long can I get the parts after delivery?
A It may take 3-4 days to arrive by DHL, FedEx, UPS or TNT. The arriving days depends on which country it locates.
-
Q How quickly can I get my parts?
A Quality parts can be achieved within 1-2 days by 3D printing and 3 days for CNC machining. More complex parts requiring or other special features will take longer.
-
Q Can I use my own material for production?
A Yes, customer-supplied material is fine so long as it fits with our machine capabilities.
-
Q Can I use my own master model for making duplicate copies for vacuum casting or CNC machining?
A Yes, master models are used to create silicone molds for vacuum casting and can be made from any rigid solid that can withstand heat up to 100° C. Models used for CNC machining will be 3D scanned to create a CAD/CAM program for production.
-
Q How long does a quotation take?
A Normally we respond with the quotation within 24hrs to the receiving RFQ. If any case need more time we will inform you in advance.
-
Q What type of design file is support for quoting?
A In order to offer an accurate and in-time quotation,we accept the 3D format of IGES, STL,STEP, x-t and 2D drawings with defined dimensions and specific tolerances in PDF format.
-
Q Can you make a design for me?
A Yes, we can design your idea to the reality based on your requirements.
-
Q Is my data safe?
A All information and datas provided for us are used only for business purpose and will not be shared or given to third-party without your approval unless are legally required.
-
Q Payment and Delivery?
A We support the TT, Credit card, wastern union payments and so on. The payment term could be 50% deposit and the balance before shipping; or monthly payments.
